Spades Hero ("we", "us") makes a spades tournament app for iPhone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little.
What we collect
- Account identity. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple user identifier and, on first sign-in only, the name you choose to share. We never receive your Apple password. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email," we only ever see the relay address.
- Profile. A display name (username), an optional profile photo you add, and an availability status, all set by you.
- Gameplay data. Tournaments, teams, match results, scores, and a skill rating derived from your results.
- Notifications. If you enable push notifications, a device token so we can alert you when a match is ready or you're invited.
- Invites. If you invite someone by email to a tournament, we use that address only to send that invitation.
What we do not collect
- No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad or analytics trackers.
- No location data, contacts, or microphone/camera access beyond a photo you explicitly pick for your avatar.
- We do not sell your data, ever.
How we use it
We use the data above solely to run the app: to authenticate you, match you into games, run tournament brackets, seed by rating, send the notifications you opt into, and deliver invitations you send. That's it.
Where it lives
Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. Game and tournament state is the system of record for your play history.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app: open My Account and tap Delete account. This removes your profile, cancels your invites, removes you from any forming rosters, and deletes your device tokens. Completed tournament history may remain but is de-identified once your profile is gone.
Children
Spades Hero is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the revised version here.
